Part 1: The Siege of Valhalla

Freyja is the Norse Goddess of Love and Mercy, and the Captain of the Valkyries who descend on fallen warriors and carry them to Valhalla to drink and fight for eternity until they choose to return to earth to live a mortal life once again.
Odr the “frenzied one” and God of Ecstasy is the wanderer who follows the fertility of spring and brings the heat of Summer wherever he travels. When he leaves his wife Freyja she cries tears of gold while he is gone, creating all gold in the world.
Odr is also a warrior and the symbol of Divine Madness or “Berserkers” , frantic, furious, vehement, eager, and passionate. He is also the god of inspiration who brings with him comedy and poetry.
Odin in spite of being married lusted after Freyja. He was angered by her loyalty to Odr and refusal to spread herself open for his pleasure. In an attempt at winning Freyja’s body for himself he turned Odr into a hideous sea monster… The wife of the god of ecstasy didn’t care at all that her beloved had changed form, she saw his soul and his gifts not his physical body.
When Freyja chose to keep him in spite of his new appearance, this enraged Odin farther, and he murdered Odr while he was traveling on Mid-guard. As Odr didn’t die in combat, he was not allowed into Valhalla, doomed to limbo, or to forget all who he is and be born mortal to once again need to prove himself worthy of joining the gods.
An Enraged Freyja lead the Valkyries to lay siege to Valhalla… armed with Freyja’s sword, forged by the great dwarves Endurmískunnr she attacked. Endurmískunnr being the only blade in all the realms that could slay a god and force them to be reborn on Midguard as a mortal. Odin was quickly abandoned by Thor and Loki who were quite close to the goddess Freyja as brothers are to a beloved sister. Without his sons at his side Odin was nearly destroyed by rebelling Valkyrie’s… Freyja an her Valkyries burned Vanhalla to ashes, and when Odin was on his knees defeated and prepared to die a god and be born again a mortal man, Freyja showed Odin mercy (as it is in her character to do). They agreed to divide the Gods into the Æsir and the Venir (as in venereal or “of the feminine”) Gods and Goddesses. The Venir bring with them the divine feminine traits like intuition, compassion, love, mercy, forgiveness, creativity, inspiration, and kindness.
Freyja as part of this accord, would receive the first half of fallen warriors she selects on the battlefields as the Valkyries come to take their souls. These chosen ones would enjoy a life of pleasure and ecstasy in Odr and Freyja’s garden known as Fólkvangr. The rest would be Taken to Valhalla to spend eternity locked in combat.

Part 2: Petter and the Boys of Danelaw
Æthelred Unræd, ruler of the English kingdom of Wessex was frustrated, fearful, and most importantly jealous of the beauty of the Viking Danes settled in their land. He hated the Danes almost as much as the Saxon women… didn’t.
The village known as Danelaw was the target of Æthelred’s rage, and he set off on a crusade to kill all Danes in Anglo-Saxon country and take back the Saxon ancestral lands. He ordered the slaughter of thousands of men, woman and children in what is known as the St. Brice Day Massacre, in the year 1002.
On the night of the Saint’s feast, Petter the 18 year old son of Pallig, knowing his village was going to be wiped from the earth gathered village boys ranging in age from 8-16 and brought them to the armory as fire blazed through their town.
“We are all going to die tonight” he shouted to the frightened children. “No matter what we do, there is no running, there is no hiding, we will all burn”.
The oldest of the children Nib Bjornsson stood tall “what are we to do Petter, you tell us it is hopeless?”
Petter responded “there is always hope in Valhalla! All of you grab an axe and a shield, we will take many of the Saxxons with us tonight! Not one of us will die afraid!” he followed up after a pause “or alone”.
The boys stormed out of the armory, from the oldest to the youngest each fought with the fury of Odr in their souls. Petter and Nib killed a dozens or more between them.
Kaarle and the twins fell first, charged by Saxon horsemen as they stood proud on the corpses of the several men they blead dry moments before. As the Calvary ran towards them one of the twins shouted “Klaptorsk” a Danish insult that translates to “Clapping cod” – and expression meant for someone extremely cowardly, stupid, and often… both.
Petter fell leaping in front of an arrow meant for young Sille’s head, as he breathed his last breath he smiled at Sille “we wouldn’t want to scratch, that pretty face, what would you do without your looking glass to stare at” he chuckled. Nib sprinted towards the archer, taking 4 arrows himself in the charge, he leapt and cleaved the man’s head from his body before succumbing to his wounds.
Sille took on 3 Saxons himself, killing 2 before the third ran him through from behind, sparing his stunning looks.
Tjodkells the youngest, and the last to fall, at only 8 winters, brought several Saxons to their knees and opened their throats with his small carving axe.

In the dawn of the aftermath, once the Saxons had fled, and the flames that once were Danelaw had turned to smoldering ash, the Valkyries descended upon the village. It was Freyja herself who pulled the souls of the boys from their cleaved and broken bodies. She gathered them together and spoke. “It is Æsir law that no child will find their ways into the halls of Valhalla my young warriors, only 2 among you are of age”
A small flick of anger reflected in Petter’s face as he looked at Nib, Nib spoke “These boys fought as well as 5 men! Surely they deserve to ascend”
Freyja laughed “I agree… as I said, it is the law of the Æsir, but we are Æsir no more”. Petter had a fleck of curiosity cross his face. “I have destroyed Valhalla, and in my mercy I have made a deal with Odin that I shall choose which fallen warries I carry to my garden, and which I send to help rebuild the rubble that was once the great hall. Petter and Nib, you may choose to follow these boys to Fólkvangr, or ascend to Valhalla, you fought bravely and I will welcome you in paradise or you may spend eternity” she waved her arms “being manly men”.
Nib needed no time to think, “I want to join you”.
Freyja looked puzzled, “Nib, you are the bravest of the young, you would choose devine feminine?”.
Nib replied “Now that I have seen combat my goddess, I don’t think I have much of a taste for losing the people I love, nor do I have a heart for killing, I will fight bravely if I need to, but it is better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener in a war”.
Freyja looked to Petter.
Petter’s looked down met Tjodkells eyes, already welling up with tears believing Petter would leave them and ascend to Valhalla alone. “These boys are lost without me” he said smiling up to Freyja. “I mean, they are lost with me as well obviously, or we wouldn’t be speaking… but” he paused “they will be less lost if I watch over them”. The boys cheered and rushed to hug Petter.
“So it shall be” Freyja spoke, and as she did she fluttered her wings. “Away we go then?”.
Petter looked at her “shall we be carried then?”
Freyja laughed “the wings are only so that the Valkyries can fly when their hearts are heavy with the burden of feeling all of this death. If your hearts are light with weightless thoughts, as they should be today, you won’t need wings at all”.
Petter looked down at the twins “Klaptorsk?” he said laughing “You called the horsemen a clapping codfish?”
“He needed a horse to kill a child, what is more Klaptorsk than that” said the first of the twins.
Peter let out a loud belly laugh staring into the heavens and leapt into the air, followed by a pair of giggling 10 year old twins. The others were soon to join them.
Part 3: Paradise of Land, Sea, Air, and Love

Fólkvangr was everything one might imagine of a paradise. A tropical island, crystal clear blue green water, thick lush forest, beautiful clearings of gardens and fruit trees. Playful animals. The rains only came in cooling squalls. The lost boys longed for falling rain, as it meant mud to play in and slide on and mud-soaked adventures in the hills and forrests.
While the paradise was not for fighting, the boys will still be boys. The sun was their only clock, they rose with morning light and dozed off to sleep as it set. Petter filled their days full of stories, games, and adventures. Petter lead the boys, setting them off into the jungle, or flying through the air, and swimming in the waterfalls and coastal waters of this large island.
The Viking tribe of inhabitants living in a beautiful garden village to the north of the island enjoyed seeing the boys, often taking part in their adventures playing the mock villains of Petter’s tales.
Tigerlilja Volfdóttir, no more than a year Petter’s senior, was a shield maiden of Norway who died in the battle of Stamford Bridge in the spring of 1066. The Valkyrie’s chose her for Fólkvangr, as they often did with Shield Maidens who were less prone to desire combat in spite of being equals with the Nordic men. She was a beautiful warrior, with long golden locks of braided hair, full red lips, alabaster skin and steel blue eyes. Muscular yet feminine and full figured. Petter fell for her almost instantly when she first sparred with him and he realized she easily would have dispatched him in combat.

She very often enjoyed the games of the boys, frequently running off with Petter. While she followed the divine feminine she was a shield maiden after all, and enjoyed the combat, especially with Petter. She taught him how to use a short 13 inch Seax blade along with his axe. Combined with his penchant for light footed dodges, often the result of his propensity for flight, he quickly became highly skilled in hand to hand combat. Tigerlilja wasn’t only interested in peter’s games, she had many more adult interests, as was strongly encouraged in Fólkvangr (for those of age). She would often joke with Petter after he gave her waves of pleasure, that it’s a shame there will never be anyone named Pettersson, because if she could, she would bare his children happily.
On one such occasion, laying naked in a field of flowers in the sun, with her head over Petter’s heart she was slowly regaining her breath. He held her in his arms and followed a bead of sweat rolling off her firm yet shapely form in the sunlight, she ran a finger down the space between his pecs and chuckled contently. Once again as she often did, she named their never-to-be born son “Bjord Pettersson”, she giggled, tickled by the thought while still buzzing from ecstatic pleasure.
“I have my hands full already” he said, squeezing her rear end with his right hand jokingly, “have you not noticed that I am practically a father of 7”.
“We have a word for that in Norway she said, it’s Neh-Veh, means full hands”
Peter let out his uncontrollable laugh, as he often did… “Well that settles it, I have a new name for Fólkvangr”
“what is it?”
“Neh-Veh-land”
she laughed loudly at the thought… “the land where Petter’s hands are full”
he pulled her on top of him and grabbed both cheeks of her ass firmly one in each hand “Nothing wrong with that!” he said… and kissed her deeply.
She kissed him back as passionately and then, backed away to look him in the eyes, hers turned somewhat serious, “You know I have fallen in love with you Petter”
“I should hope so, since you want to have my sons and daughters”
“Petter, have you ever thought about returning?” she asked him seriously.
“To Midguard?” he responded
“Yes, have you ever thought that we could return together, and find each other again? Mortal?”
“Why would we do that? You want to grow old together? Wither and die with sickness?… Risk never returning to this place? not for me, I don’t want to grow old” Petter said, firmly.
“I guess it’s just a dream then”
“What is?” he asked
“Bjord Pettersson” she laughed.
Petter quickly rolled her over and began to tickle her ribs, she squirmed and giggled and pretended to try to escape his grasp, as he committed to pursuit she hooked his leg skillfully and rolled him over and sat on top of him. Petter looked up at her beautiful naked body that he worshipped so completely. “You truly are a tykk panne, young Petter”.
“tykk panne?” he asked
“in Norway – thick forehead, you are a stubborn one”
“Well then you can just call me Peter Panne of Neh-Veh-Land”
“I just might”, she gently leaned in to kiss him, and felt him swell slightly between her thighs. She lifted an eyebrow, “well at least one of the warriors in this field is coming back from the dead”
“you know I love you too” said Petter, as he raised his hips slightly
“well, you love parts of me that’s for sure”
“no, I love all of you” he said. She leaned forward and kissed him
Part 4: Valkyries of the Sea

Freyja and Odr had their paradise, but Odr couldn’t leave the sea for long. His scaled skin would dry in the sun and crack, his lips would recede revealing his pointed fanged teeth, the spiny dorsal fin on his back would begin to stiffen and it became difficult for him to raise and lower it.
Freyja chose for the Valkyries to trade their wings for fins when they entered the water, as the years went by the Valkyries left the seas less and less.
Freyja and Odr eventually decide they will return, as mortals, to Midguard to once again find each other and Freyja leaves Petter in charge of Fólkvangr with the loving assistance of all the Valkyries and Faeries of the wood.
Before she departs Freyja reveals she believes that Petter is worthy of becoming a god, but he must first learn the lessons of the Venir, so she shatters Endurmískunnr into pieces knowing that Petter would need to search the 9 realms and learn the lessons of each keeper of a piece of the blade. She scatters the blade throughout the 9 realms knowing if Petter were to take on this quest he would weild Endurmískunnr with mercy justice in his heart.
Each realm has a protector who guides and trains Petter. In order to become a god of the Venir peter must learn that direct combat is not always the answer.
(This will not be the order of these in the game) – The goal is that the user learn that every enemy has a point of view, a perspective, and deserves Mercy, almost no one is “Completely Bad” – (in the final fight with Tyr he shows through peter’s Justic vision as Pure good… and yet he fights with Petter, Loki shows one the Evil side of ballanced yet he is Petter’s biggest Ally). The lesson of Petter’s heroes Journey is that killing can be mercy, it can be necessary, but to view each being as autonomous and deserving Justice and Mercy regardless of being on his side or not. He must serve justice to Ally and must give Mercy to enemies through his journey.
| Realm | Protector | Lesson | Reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| Asgard (realm of the Aesir gods) | Sif – goddess of earth and harvest | Humility – peter must learn to respect Sif’s power in order to defend and not attack in order to gain victory | Defense |
| Vanaheim (home of the Vanir gods) | Njörðr – god of the sea and winds (Freyja’s father) | Justice – An evil ally is less deserving of mercy and justice than a good enemy, Petter must choose to turn on an ally with evil intent and give mercy to Njörðr | Switching Styles based on challenge |
| Alfheim (realm of the light elves) | Ljósálfr Queen Alvíra | Clarity – | night vision abilities and the ability to magically cast out and control his shadow |
| Midgard (realm of humans) | Eiríkr the Undying (hero raised by Freyja) | Mortality – | Ability to raise the dead to fight for him |
| Jötunheim (land of the giants) | Skaði – giantess goddess of vengeance | Balance – | Ability to see aura of good and evil – turns out to be far more of a lesson (as Tyr is pure good and Loki is on the evil side of ballanced). |
| Helheim (realm of ice and death) | Hel– Loki’s daughter recruited to help Freyja | Mercy – is not always saving, and Justice is not always killing | Freezing enemies rather than killing them. He will be rewarded for Mercy towards the enemies who are good in his leveling moving forward. |
| Muspelheim (realm of fire giants) | Eldgunnr – flame Valkyrie from Freyja’s own forge | Passion – | use his passion to unlock the frenzied Berzerker |
| Svartalfheim (realm of the dwarves) | Durnik the Rune-Smith | Art – | Crafting |
| Nidavellir (alternative name for Svartalfheim, can be made separate) | Brúnheidr (female dwarf berserker) | Transformation – |
The Queen of the fairies Tindrblom (which means sparkling light) responsible for lighting and guiding the stars in the night sky, having taken a particular liking the Petter rarely left his side. With Freyja born again in Midguard and the Valkyries taking on the form of mermaids no longer gifted with flight, it was left to the Faries to guide human souls through the stars to find Folkvangr and Valhalla. A second gateway between the realms outside of Heimdal’s domain, mortals could be led between the realms using the sacred star paths of the faeries.

The Vikings of Valhalla

Vikings of Valhalla feeling Odin violated his oaths when he murdred Odr were now unsettled living in Valhalla under Odin’s thumb. The voices of descent were led by Tyr the god of war and justice, noble sacrifice, and single combat. Tyr, was one of the most respected of the Viking gods, having lost his hand in an act of valor and sacrifice to Loki’s son, the great wolf Fenrir. Tyr now has a hook where his hand once was.
Upon learned of Freyja’s departure from Fólkvangr and the land left in the hands of human souls, Tyr decided tto leave Valhalla and claim Folkvangr back for the gods, believing this was a riteous act as both of the heavens should be ruled. By recruiting the three Norns, Urðr (Urd) who controlled the past, Verðandi controlling the present and Skuld who controlled the future they made use of their well of Urðarbrunnr beneath the world tree Yggdrasil where free passage to the bifrost escaped the watchful eye of Heimdal. Tyr sailed the bifrost on Loki’s ship of the dead Naglfar, with Loki joining.
Loki, being Loki, had alternative reasons to join this group of souls escaping Valhalla. As a close beloved brother-like figure to Freyja, Loki took the escape as an opportunity to captured the stone where his son the great wolf Fenrir was bound in Odin’s great vault below Valhalla. Loki stowed him away aboard Nglfar, knowing his magical bindings made of impossible things could not exist anywhere but Valhalla, and as soon as they departed would break the great wolf free.
With the help of the Goddess Nanna goddess of Nordic Myths, Loki embewed his son Fenrir with the power of Nordic sight. As Fenrir’s bonds broke, Loki used the Bifrost to send Fenrir to Freyja on Midguard to be born as a beloved pet who would be named for the goddess who granted him the power to give to Frejya guiding visions to protect her on her journey to rejoin the gods, the ever-watchful Nanna never to leave Wendy’s side.

Petter Panne and Wendy Darling
Freyja, now reborn in the country of England with the name of Wendy Darling was still connected to Folkvangr through Fenrir. Her dreams filled with days past, present, and sometimes of the future. Dreams of her husband Odr both in his beautiful human and his still much beloved sea monster form. Visions of Folkvangr and the reign of Tyr attempting to surplant Petter in the name of protecting the realm from mere mortal souls. Her days spent regailing her dreams… “Peter-Pan of Neverland” was born and shared with her younger brothers John and Michael.
Petter concerned for the safety of Folkvangr returned to midguard with the help of Tindrblom to find Wendy hoping that through her dreams she could help him find the many pieces of Endurmískunnr and rebuild the blade so that he might free Folkvangr of the Valhallans.
Fenrir and the Crocodile
upon Wendy’s arrival with Michael and John they were followed by their beloved Nanna who returning to a realm of the Gods lost Loki’s cloak and resumed the form of Fenrir once more. When loki learned of Fenrir’s return with concern for his son’s safety if Tyr were to discover Fenrir, turned the wolf to a crocodile so he might swim with the Valkyries in the waters of Folkvangr until his return with Wendy to midguard.

Loki believed Wendy was out of place in Folkvangr and wanted her to return to England to live out her days so she might find Odr and return a goddess. He informed Tyr of her return as a mortal. Tyr agreed, and began a quest to take her from Petter and return her to Midguard.
